Jack Babcock
was only 15 when he enlisted in the Canadian army at the outbreak of WWI. He trained in England with 1,300 other underage recruits in the Young Soldiers Battalion until the war's end. "We drilled from sunrise to sunset. We were probably the best-trained outfit over there." Now an American citizen, he resides in Washington.
