Moses Hardy
at 114 is the oldest man in the continental U.S. He was drafted in 1918 and served for a year in France in the segregated 805th Pioneer Infantry. While unable to speak for this interview, his son Haywood Hardy recalls that his father's division stayed on after the war to clean up the battlefields and remove the dead. Moses lives in Aberdeen, Miss., the town where he was born.
