Do the Write Thing
Treehouse Productions is currently developing a series of three-minute modules for the National Campaign to Stop Violence.  The modules feature young readers (aged 11 to 15) reading winning essays from the NCSV's "Do the Write Thing" Challenge. Eleven years ago, NCSV implemented the "Do the Write Thing" writing campaign as an effort at reducing violence in schools by stimulating awareness for nonviolent solutions. Since its inception, nearly 25,000 middle-school students nationwide have submitted essays as part of the program and have made a pledge to find peaceful means of confronting everyday problems. The series will feature 52 weekly modules aimed at the public radio market.  To listen to three sample demos, click below:
